If someone in here can find a progressive viewpoint (besides this one, which is pretty wishy-washy on the whole topic), let me know. I was brought to this list by Relapsed Catholic, which was mentioned in the lame blog book I railed against earlier.
I haven't looked all that hard yet, but I'm starting to feel a little lonely in my beliefs, in addition to my disappointment with my first interactions with Eugene RCs. There used to be leftist Catholics. There used to be people clamoring for a married (and female) clergy. Did they all get tired and drift away? Was swimming upstream against (I was gonna put a couple links here, but sweet Jesus, it's just too depressing.)
Buncha fucking sheep. Jesus called us to be shepherds--NOT SHEEP!
Well, if I'm going to force my students to look at stuff that makes them uncomfortable on the web, I guess I just found my own 'challenging web experience'.
